Museum of Fishing and Anchovy Colatura
The first Museum dedicated to Anchovy Fishing and Colatura was founded in Cetara, in the rooms of the lower part of the original Angevin tower of the Viceregal Tower.
The initiative is realized within the protocol of understanding signed by the Municipality of Cetara, from the Association for the Valorization of the casting of anchovies of Cetara, by the Flag Approdo di Ulisse and the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Productions of the University of Naples Federico II.
It is a space where old barrels and terzigni, used for storing the precious amber liquid obtained from the maturation of anchovies in salt, will stand and age
The cellar museum will also include a small, but very important, library that will collect over time books, historical documents, newspapers, magazines, photographs dedicated to casting, fishing and the roots of Cetara.
